Swimsuit and towel, sunscreen, necessary medication, and warm clothing to change into afterwards. For cool or rainy days, a fleece jacket to wear under our splash jackets may increase your comfort. We also recommend you bring water bottles and snacks packed in your vehicle to enjoy after your trip. Do not bring jewellery and other valuables.

Kootenay River Runners go to great efforts to ensure a safe trip! However, due to the nature of the sport neither company, owner or personnel shall be held responsible for any damages, injuries, losses, delays or expenses occurred whilst on excursion whether this be to person or property.

Please arrive no later than 20 minutes before your trip! All excursions require a Release of Liability waiver to be signed before departure therefore you want to ensure you have time to get this done. All participants under 15 years must have a Release of Liability form signed by a parent or legal guardian. Any participant under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be allowed on the trip with no refund.

All tours are subject to a 48 hour cancellation policy unless otherwise indicated on your booking confirmation.  Guests are able to cancel bookings outside of 48 hours and receive a full refund.  Subject to availability, guests are also able to change / reschedule bookings outside of 48 hours.

No changes / reschedules will be permitted within 48 hours of tour time.  No refunds will be provided within 48 hours of tour time.  Trips cannot be delayed for late arrivals.  Refunds or rescheduling will not be provided for missed trips.

Group bookings of 10 or more are subject to a 7 day cancellation policy. No changes, reschedules or refunds will be provided within 7 days of tour time.

In the unlikely event that Kootenay River Runners must cancel a trip an alternate trip or full refund will be given, as preferred by the guest.  Kootenay River Runners reserves the right to cancel trips due to safety and other concerns at our discretion.

White Water Express the quickest trip we offer. It’s the right amount of time if you plan to fit in a number of activities in one day. It rafts the middle canyon of the Kicking Horse River, which has 12 km of exhilarating rapids spaced throughout.

This trip is for the adventure seekers who need a quick, and epic fix of excitement and adrenaline.

  • All guests must bring a face covering that meets current health regulations. Please bring a second face covering in a Ziploc so you have a dry one to wear on the bus ride back at the end of your trip. You can tuck it in your life jacket.
  • No experience required. Our guides will let you know exactly what to do!
  • We hold the right to cancel a trip if water levels fluctuate to a level that makes it unsafe for us to raft. Water levels are completely dependent on Mother Nature, so we may not know until the day before, or morning of the trip. Safety is the only consideration when making this decision. If we cancel a trip for this reason you will receive a full refund.
  • If you have to cancel your trip, the full amount is refundable (less $10.00 per person processing fee) provided we receive at least 48 hours notice prior to your trip date. If notice occurs within 48 hours of the trip date the full amount is non-refundable.
  • When you reserve your seats they are no longer available for anyone else to book. We also schedule guides and drivers and plan our logistics based on the number of seats we have confirmed. Because of this, if you cancel within 48 for ANY reason please do NOT expect a refund. This applies to all reasons.
  • In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a trip due to weather or safety concerns, we will re-schedule your trip to a date that works for you, or provide a full refund.
  • We do not allow our guests to drink alcohol or come intoxicated in any way. This is both before or during your rafting trip. We need everyone to be in top form and not under the influence for safety reasons. If we refuse to take you because you’re intoxicated, you will not receive a refund.
  • Every guest of Glacier Raft Company must read and sign a Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims and Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement prior to their rafting trip.
  • You will receive a digital copy of our waiver to read and sign at the time of booking. If you don’t complete it ahead of time, there will be time to do this at our rafting base when you arrive.
  • Each adult guest must read and sign THEIR OWN Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims and Assumption of Risks Agreement prior to rafting. Guardians must sign for those under 19.
